Emergency Funds
UofL graduate students who experience unexpected financial emergencies due to circumstances beyond their control can apply to the following emergency funds and resources:
Graduate School Student Emergency Grant Fund
This fund is designed to help alleviate immediate, unexpected expenses that cause financial hardships which may endanger a student’s ability to continue enrollment in a graduate program at the University of Louisville.
Louis and Louise W. Weisser Bornwasser Student Emergency Fund
This emergency fund is available to all graduate and undergraduate students at UofL through the Louis and Louise W. Weisser Bornwasser Student Emergency Fund.
Cardinal Cupboard Food Pantry (CCFP) (sponsored in part by Commonwealth Credit Union)
Located in the Swain Student Activities Center (W312), the CCFP increases accessibility to food and health products to members of the Cardinal community (students, staff, and faculty) in an effort to reduce their financial burden. They provides non-perishable food items and other basic items as well as fresh produce delivered on Wednesday’s. They are open 9am - 6pm, but provide Grab & Go options for those in need of assistance outside normal operating hours. Your Cardinal Card ID is required. Please see their website for more up-to-date information.
