Philosophy (Minor)

A Philosophy minor sharpens your ability to think critically, argue clearly and navigate ethical questions. Whether paired with science, business, law or the arts, it adds valuable skills that employers and graduate programs seek.

The Philosophy minor builds flexible, career-ready skills in logic, ethics and the history of ideas. Students take courses in reasoning, moral problems and global traditions of philosophy, plus electives tailored to their interests. This minor pairs well with any major—enhancing preparation for law, medicine, business, public service and graduate study. With just 18 credit hours, it’s an impactful way to strengthen communication, problem-solving and ethical decision-making skills.
