Pan-African Studies (BS)

Offers a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding the history, culture and global impact of people of African descent. Students gain research, analytical and leadership skills for careers in education, policy, nonprofits, business and graduate study.

Emphasizes research and analytical training while exploring the global experiences of African and African-descended peoples. Students examine social, political, cultural and historical perspectives while building critical skills for diverse careers in education, cultural organizations, nonprofits and international affairs. Graduates are also well-prepared for advanced study in law, public policy and the social sciences. A minor is available to enhance other fields of study.
