Mengwei Jiang, PhD candidate in pharmacology and toxicology awarded NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral National Research Service Award
Mengwei Jiang, a pharmacology and toxicology program PhD candidate in the laboratory of Dr. Wenke Feng, has been awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award (F31) from the NATIONAL INSTITUTE ON ALCOHOL ABUSE AND ALCOHOLISM for his PhD research entitled “Probiotic and intestinal miR194 regulation of bile acid metabolism in alcoholic liver disease”. This three year fellowship will support Mengwei’s research in the field of alcoholic liver disease.
Mengwei matriculated into the PhD program in pharmacology & toxicology via the PhD partnership program with Jilin University.
