Applying to our Program

Thank you for your interest in the Orthopaedic Residency Program at the University of Louisville. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for the residency application process. All applications must be submitted electronically by October 30th. The Department will screen all applicants and invitations will be issued November 14, 2022 at noon (EST) during Universal Offer Day. Applicants can begin accepting Interview offers during a 48 hour window: Tuesday, November 15, 12:00 PM (EST) to Thursday, November 17th, 12:00 PM (EST).

The ERAS application includes:

  • Electronic Application
  • Personal Statement
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Wallet sized photo
  • Three letters of recommendation (we require a letter from the chair)
  • Dean's Letter
  • USMLE scores

Residency interviews will be conducted in person on Friday, January 20, 2023.
