Outstanding Supervisor Award

What makes a supervisor effective? According to Simon Sinek, great supervisors create a “circle of safety” where employees are more engaged, innovative, and productive. They create a culture of engagement that includes supporting the development of team members and sending a strong, consistent message of respect, compassion, and trustworthiness.

The university celebrates supervisors who go above and beyond the call of duty to engage and develop their employees, and who practice the Cardinal Principles. The honoree of the Outstanding Supervisor Award (formerly called the Supervisor of the Year award) will be recognized for the specific principles they demonstrated during the year and for actions they took to make sure their team succeeds.
