Biography
Professor Timothy S. Hall is the Boehl Chair in Law and Health Policy at the Brandeis School of Law, where he has taught since 1999. He teaches courses in contracts, health law, insurance law and mental health law, and his scholarship focuses on drug and medical device liability and the intersection of law and mental health policy.
Before joining the faculty, Professor Hall practiced law with the corporate and health care law groups of Taft, Stettinius and Hollister in Cincinnati, Ohio. His work has been presented at regional, national and international conferences, including the University of Akron’s annual Intellectual Property Roundtable. His recent article, “The Quantified Self Movement: Legal Challenges and Benefits of Personal Biometric Data Tracking,” appeared in the Akron Intellectual Property Journal.
Professor Hall has served as president of the Central States Law School Association and as chair of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Mental Disability and the Law.
