Biography
Dr. Golder is a Full Professor in the Kent School of Social Work & Family Science (Kent School). She has her MSW and PHD in Social Work. She has taught courses and mentored students in the MSSW, DSW and PHD Programs. She is engaged in a number of service endeavors in the Kent School, University and community.
Research Interests
Broadly, Dr. Golder’s research focuses on individuals involved in the criminal justice system with particular emphasis on women. Her early research explored the overlapping relationship between victimization, substance use, and psychological distress and how these factors affect women’s overall psychosocial functioning and adjustment. More recently, her research involves health and wellness among individuals aging behind bars. Dr. Golder is also interested in families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
