Biography
Sarah Korte, MD is a pediatric hospitalist physician with Norton Children's Hospital Medicine Division. She serves children and adolescents admitted to Norton Children's Hospital and Norton Women's & Children's Hospital. Additionally she serves as one of three physicians for the Home of the Innocents Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, which is the state's only pediatric skilled nursing facility. Here she provides care for children who face significant medical, developmental, and physical disabilities.
Dr. Korte is passionate about medical education and has served as the Clerkship Director for the Pediatrics Department since the fall of 2016. In this role she has had the opportunity to work with every medical student from the University of Louisville as they rotate through Pediatrics. She is committed to creating an educational environment where learners can thrive and be successfull.
Dr. Korte received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2010 and moved to Louisville, KY where she attended the University of Louisville for her Pediatric Residency. After completion of her residency training in 2013, she served as Chief Resident the following year before transitioning into Hospital Medicine. She spent two years in the Norton Children’s Hospital NICU as a Neonatal Hospitalist and then joined the Pediatric Hospitalist Division in 2016, where she continues to practice. In 2022 she received Subspecialty Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
