At the doctoral level I teach PHPB 730 and 731, Teaching Seminar and Lab.
Research Interests
My research centers around acute crisis response and care coordination, with particular focus on youth, families, and adults in crisis. Previously, I have conducted research on burnout, compassion fatigue, and positive coping of first and alternative responders. Through recent research opportunities as a co-I evaluating mobile crisis response in Louisville, a co-I providing systems capacity support to rural communities in Kentucky, and as a co-PI conducting a planning process for a 23-hour youth crisis observation and stabilization services space locally, I'm gaining expertise in implementation science research and qualitative research methods to inform best practices in improving community behavioral health outcomes in rural and urban settings. I am also currently conducting survey research related to parental preference of sexuality education and social emotional learning-related topics for school-aged children at different developmental stages.
