Biography

Richard Germain earned Bachelor of Commerce (Corcordia University, Montreal, Canada 1981), MBA (McGill University, Montreal, Canada 1986) and Ph.D. (Michigan State University, East Lansing, 1989) degrees. He has taught at Oklahoma State University (1990-2001), the University of Louisville (2001-2010; 2012-ongoing), and St. Petersburg University, Russia (2010-2012). He has published numerous refereed journal articles, written three books, and presented at various regional and international conferences. His work has appeared in the Journal of Marketing Research, Strategic Management Journal, and the Journal of Operations Management. His current research focus is on the computational analysis of more than 22,000 titles and text files curated from Printers’ Ink (1888-1924). He has acted in various administrative capacities including Ph.D. program director, marketing department head, logistics center director, and associate dean of graduate programs.
