Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Dr. Mustafa Barbour Joined the University of Louisville Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology in 2017. His clinical responsibilities are to care for children with cancer and blood disorders. He is active in clinical research and is a Sub-Investigator on a large number of clinical trials open at the University of Louisville. In addition to his clinical and research activities, Dr. Barbour is the Director of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville which is an ACGME-accredited three-year training program that is designed to prepare pediatricians to become independent specialists in the field of pediatric hematology/oncology.

  1. “Integration of Precision Medicine into Cancer Therapeutics” (Institutional PI)
    Funding: Kentucky Pediatric Cancer Research Trust Fund Grant. 07/01/2020‐6/30/2023
    The project is a collaboration between the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky. The main objective of this research study is to establish a state‐wide molecular tumor board for pediatric patients with CNS tumors in the state of Kentucky
