Biography

Dr. Kristen Lucas (PhD, Purdue University) is a professor in the Management & Entrepreneurship Department in the College of Business at University of Louisville. Her research expertise centers on how communication—from micro-level interactions to broader social discourses—affirms and denies human dignity in the workplace. She has published more than 40 articles and scholarly chapters in such outlets as Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Organization Studies, Group & Organization Management, and Management Communication Quarterly

Dr. Lucas teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in management and business communication, as well as a seminar in qualitative research methods for doctoral students. She was named the Meada-Gibbs Outstanding Teacher-Scholar by the Association for Business Communication and a Distinguished Teaching Professor by the University of Louisville.
