Kimberly Schauder, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist with Norton Children's Development Clinic and Norton Children's Autism Center. She provides comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic services to youth presenting with a range of developmental, learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She has a particular interest in complex developmental presentations and is passionate about helping families better understand their child's unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses. Particular populations of interest and specialization include: prenatal alcohol and/or substance exposure, females with autism/concerns for autism,  genetic syndromes with developmental sequelae. 

In addition to her clinical appointment at Norton Children's, Dr. Schauder is an assistant professor at University of Louisville with substantial teaching and research engagements. Dr. Schauder directs the externship training program for psychology graduate students within Norton Children's Development Clinic. Following completion of a Health Professions Education teaching certificate, she developed this novel curriculum and training experience for local graduate students interested in developmental pediatrics. 

Dr. Schauder is also involved in research with a focus on quality improvement projects. She earned her Green Belt certificate and has applied this knowledge to solve complex operational problems to improve patient care in her role as the Quality Improvement DIrector within Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

-quality improvement projects to enhance operational processes to improve quality and efficiency of patient care

-developmental impacts of prenatal substance exposure and appropriate models of clinical care for this population

-perceptions and experiences of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy
