Biography
Karen Griffin has taught in the University of Louisville School of Music for four decades. She
holds a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Louisville, earned under
the guidance of Lee Luvisi, and a B.M. in Piano Performance from the University of Toledo. As
an instructor, she teaches functional beginning to intermediate keyboard skills, focusing on
foundational pedagogy and developing students' practical musicianship. She specializes in class
piano and frequently accompanies young musicians, including students in the Suzuki program.
