Biography
Dr. Julia Sparks is a pediatric hospitalist physician with Norton Children’s Hospital and Norton Women's and Children's Hospital. Dr. Sparks is an assistant professor of Pediatrics at UofL School of Medicine. She is a Louisville native and completed undergraduate college at UofL, medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and pediatric residency at UofL, where she also served as chief resident after graduation. She has been on clinical faculty since 2022 as a pediatric hospitalist and enjoys family-centered care, daily clinical teaching with residents and medical students on rounds, and partnering with families in the care of their children.

- Clinical guideline creation to standardize care of hospitalized patients
- QI and patient safety initiatives in transitions of care for children with medical complexity
- Inpatient care of children with asthma
