Biography

Dr. Jay T. Brandi is currently a Professor of Finance, and Chair of the Department of Finance at the University of Louisville College of Business.  He has held various positions at the University to include Chair of the Department of Computer Information Systems and Finance, and Executive Director of the School of Business.  Dr. Brandi attended the University of Arizona earning his Ph.D. in finance from the College of Business and a minor in law from the University of Arizona School of Law.  Dr. Brandi is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and is the President of FinPlan Associates a financial consulting firm offering seminars, as well as business valuations, professional portfolio manager performance analysis, and other financial services to include expert testimony and family business and investments advising.  Dr. Brandi has served as a Financial Investigator and as the Assistant Securities Director for the Florida Division of Securities, and as a lobbyist for the Comptroller of the State of Florida.  His publications have appeared in both financial and law journals and include texts in both corporate and personal finance.
