Biography

The focus of my research is Mesozoic mammals. I have a broad interest and at one point or another I have worked on dental, cranial and postcranial anatomy of most of them. My research is specimen based and I devote a large effort to collecting. I have been involved in field efforts in South America, Asia, Europe and North America.

Anatomy, Histology and comparative anatomy in an evolutionary context have been the focus of my teaching here at UofL.  Currently I am the director for Histology (Dental School) and a croslisted course on Evolution of Mammalian Sensory Systems (530-630). I also teach histology for the Medical School  and in other graduate/undergraduate courses in my Department (ASNB).
