Biography
Gregory S. Hutcheson is associate professor of Spanish in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of Louisville. He has published widely on gender and sexuality in premodern Spanish literature, making his most significant mark in the field with the co-edited volume Queer Iberia: Sexualities, Cultures and Crossings from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance (Duke, 1999). In his more recent research he has turned to those rich and complex points of encounter among the diverse creeds, communities, and cultures that coexisted on the premodern Iberia Peninsula.
