Biography

Dr. Chukwuma Nnorom completed medical school training at the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 2000. In 2005, he relocated to the United States to do his pediatric residency at Woodhull Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY /NYU and later his Neonatology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Center, Memphis, TN.  After graduation from fellowship in 2011, he spent 3 years working as a general pediatrician in the medically underserved communities of New Iberia and ST Martinsville, Louisiana. In 2015, he moved with his family to Elizabethtown KY to take a position with the University of Louisville Division Of Neonatology, assisting in the startup of the Hardin Memorial satellite NICU in Elizabethtown.  He is currently the NICU Medical Director of Hardin Memorial Hospital now known as Baptist Health Hardin. His areas of interest include breast feeding in the NICU, community education and reaching out to underserved communities.
