Biography
Dr. Chad Samuelsen is a neuroscientist at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he investigates the neural mechanisms underlying chemosensory processing, flavor perception, and consummatory behavior. His research focuses on the neural mechanisms of odor-taste integration and their influence on decision-making related to food and fluid intake. Using behavioral, electrophysiological, optogenetic, and pharmacological approaches, his work aims to unravel the fundamental processes that shape sensory-guided choices.
