Campbell Bego
Biography
Dr. Campbell R. Bego is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Fundamentals at the University of Louisville's Speed School of Engineering. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, a PE license in Mechanical Engineering (New York), and earned her MS and PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of Louisville. She leads the LEAP Lab—Learning, Engagement, Achievement, and Persistence in STEM—which conducts mixed-methods research on improving student success and retention in engineering and other STEM disciplines. Her work centers on supporting first-year engineering students through evidence-based pedagogical approaches and the integration of generative AI and information literacy into engineering education.
