Biography

My research examines how data-driven systems and statistical models shape what becomes visible, what is overlooked, and with what consequences.

In analytics and statistics, I work on developing analytics for high-dimensional, correlated, and heterogeneous data. I focus on models that capture nonlinear and tail-specific effects, which are patterns that are often missed when researchers only study average outcomes. This includes work on ultrahigh-dimensional quantile GEE and semiparametric single-index and additive models, with applications to settings where identifying which groups are most affected is central to better decision-making.

In digital markets, I study how algorithmic ranking, reputation, and ad delivery systems allocate visibility and opportunity. My research examines online labor markets, AI-mediated job advertising, and fairness interventions in multi-actor platforms. I use simulation and empirical modeling to study how platform design choices affect search efficiency, match quality, exposure, and inequality.
