Research Interests

My research interest lies at the intersection of public health and the criminal legal system (CLS), with particular interest in using implementation science frameworks to advance effective and innovative interventions to minimize CLS involvement and improve health outcomes. Currently, I am applying these frameworks to implement effective behavioral health crisis response across the crisis care continuum. My research extends to developing and evaluating alternatives for institutionalization, aiming to divert individuals away from incarceration and towards community-based interventions that prioritize treatment, rehabilitation, and support.
