Biography

Dr. Tony Okafor is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Finance at the College of Business, where he has served since 2020. A dedicated educator with real‑world financial experience, he teaches graduate and undergraduate finance courses and serves on the BBA curriculum development and Internship Co‑op committees. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of London and a Ph.D. in Finance from Walden University in 2018. His research focuses on treasury management, portfolio optimization, corporate governance, and risk mitigation, especially in mergers and regulated institutions. Dr. Okafor’s scholarship bridges theory and practice, exploring how firms enhance financial performance and drive long-term value.
