The AAPI FSA serves as an Employee Resource Group (ERG) to support the Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander communities at the University of Louisville.
About Us
The Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander Faculty and Staff Association aims to build community, promote diversity, and champion action and change for the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander populations on campus.
The Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander Faculty and Staff Association (AAPI Faculty and Staff Association) was established in 2021.
Mission
The mission of the AAPI Faculty and Staff Association is to build community, promote diversity, and champion action and change for the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander populations on campus.
Purpose
The purpose and specific objectives of AAPI Faculty and Staff Association are to:
- Foster community and a sense of belonging for AAPI population at UofL;
- Increase the visibility of AAPI population and advocate for policies and initiatives that will benefit AAPI groups;
- Empower AAPI individuals by providing resources, mentorships, communications, and other professional development opportunities;
- Promote awareness of the challenges and unique experiences of the AAPI community;
- Build alliances to advance the University’s mission for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We invite faculty and staff who identify as AAPI and other allies interested in supporting our mission and goals to join our organization.
