2022 AAPI Fall Expo:

On November 4, 2022, the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Faculty and Staff Association along with the Asian Pacific Student Union (APSU) organized the University of Louisville’s first-ever AAPI Fall Expo at the Red Barn. The event offered a special cultural experience to the UofL community by bringing together Asian food vendors, AAPI cultural performances, local community organizations, and student RSOs for a day of celebration and learning about the AAPI community on and off campus. Hundreds of students, including many from Dupont Manual High School, faculty, and staff attended the event. The event is also a fundraiser benefitting AAPI FSA and student RSOs. This is an event we anticipate hosting annually.

Here is one quote from a student group (Dusk N Dawn, a student dance group): “What we most enjoyed at the event was seeing the different cultures, eating a wide variety of foods, and seeing the amazing performances that were there that day. Being able to learn from other people’s cultures was eye-opening. It was a fun experience!”
