Muhammad Ali Institute Celebrate the Humanitarian Awards
The week of September 9th was quite a busy one for the Muhammad Ali Institute and our Muhammad Ali Scholars! On September 11th, the Muhammad Ali Institute provided the University of Louisville community with an exclusive opportunity to meet Muhammad Ali Center's Humanitarian Award Winners. In collaboration with the Muhammad Ali Center, we invited three of the Core Principle Award winners to campus for a panel discussion that explored the social justice work of each of the leaders as well as what fuels their passions.
Following the Panel, Enid Trucios-Haynes, Director and Ashleigh Hazley, Assistant Director joined Mrs. Lonnie Ali for private dinner with all the award recipients and then joined Muhammad Ali Scholars for the Moth storytelling event that was hosted at the Muhammad Ali Center.
The next evening, the Muhammad Ali Scholars, the faculty/staff of the Muhammad Ali Institute, and some of the institute grant team enjoyed an evening at the Marriot Downtown for the Humanitarian Awards. We then woke up bright and early to attend the Daughter of Greatness breakfast.
