Ali Institute discussed on U of L Today with Mark Herbert
On June 13, 2016, Ali Scholar Cortez Flippins, a junior studying marketing, and Interim Director Enid Trucios-Haynes appeared on the U of L Today Radio Program with Mark Herbert to talk about the Muhammad Ali Institute and the Ali Scholars Program.
The discussion covered both the death of Muhammad Ali had each and how the Ali Institute works toward community change. Cortez discusses how he comes from the same neighborhood as Muhammad Ali and how this inspires him. Cortez also talks about Ali Scholars recent international learning journey to Peru (May 16-31, 2016) and what he learned from that experience about social justice issues in an global environment.
