Getting Started
An important guide to the mass text messaging policy when using CardSmart. Mass text messaging in CardSmart should be action-oriented and/or directly related to graduation and retention efforts. This policy in place to reduce the likelihood that students opt out of text messaging from the platform.

A step-by-step guide to adding a prospective student to CardSmart. Staff may need to Create a student profile in CardSmart if the student doesn’t have any data in the platform – prospective new or transfer students, admitted students whose data isn’t being imported yet, a returning student who no longer has an active profile, etc. Creating a student allows staff to schedule the appointment and keep notes on the profile. When the student has an active profile with imported data, reach out to the CardSmart service to have the two profiles merged.
Progress Reports
How to create a Progress Report Campaign in CardSmart. The document details how faculty can submit progress reports from the campaign invitation emailed to them from by the Provost’s Office.
How to develop an ad-hoc progress report. Progress reports can be submitted by faculty at any time during the semester by logging into CardSmart and submitting them using this method.
How to import grades into CardSmart from Blackboard. Faculty have the option to import midterm grades from their Blackboard gradebook to their ULink midterm grade roster. That grade is then imported into CardSmart.
