Dr. Benjamin Mast research interests
My research concerns the intersection of clinical geropsychology and neuropsychological assessment, including:
(1) methodological innovation in clinical research (e.g., application of structural equation model techniques to clinical questions)
(2) assessment and detection of late life syndromes (e.g., vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s disease)
(3) examination of specific hypotheses concerning the prevalence, expression, and clinical correlates of late life cognitive and mood disorders (e.g., vascular depression)
(4) the application of person-centered principles to care of people with dementia and their families
(5) religion and spirituality in Alzheimer's disease and other dementias
