LGBTQ Studies (Minor)

Provides students with a deep understanding of LGBTQ identities, experiences and social issues. Students explore history, literature, politics and health, preparing them for careers in advocacy, education, social services and inclusive communities.

This 18-credit minor includes an introductory course plus electives across literature, politics, healthcare, law and social justice. Students complete a community internship or independent study for hands-on experience. The program encourages critical thinking and engagement with diverse LGBTQ perspectives, equipping students to foster inclusion and equity in professional and community settings.
