Latin American and Latino Studies (Minor)

Explores the history, culture, politics and languages of Latin America and U.S. Latino communities. Students gain global perspectives and interdisciplinary skills applicable to careers in education, social services, research and cultural organizations.

This minor combines coursework in humanities, social sciences and language, with an internship option to provide hands-on experience. Students study Latin American and U.S. Latino history, literature, art and social issues while developing research, writing and critical thinking skills. Courses prepare students for graduate study, public service, cultural institutions and careers engaging with diverse communities.
