Diversity and Inequality (Minor)

Explore how race, gender, class and power shape society. UofL’s Diversity and Inequality minor equips students to analyze social systems and drive equity in careers from policy and education to business and nonprofit leadership.

This 21-credit minor combines core sociology courses with electives on social theory, urban life, gender, race and inequality. Students gain analytical and research skills to understand structural inequities and advocate for inclusion. Graduates are prepared for careers in social research, public policy, education, human resources and nonprofit or community leadership roles.
