The purpose of the House Staff Council is to serve as an avenue for the concerns and problems of UofL residents and fellows, disseminate information applicable and helpful to all residents, and promote UofL residents as a unified group. This organization, which is comprised of representatives from each training program, meets monthly to plan professional development and social events, schedule speakers and address problems and concerns as they arise.

Representatives selected from this council serve on the Graduate Medical Education Committee, Resident Education and Work Environment Subcommittee, Academic Grievance Committee, Faculty Forum, and Medical Council.
