Faculty Notification of Reduction in Supplement Pay
It is recommended that the faculty member receive this information in person as well as from their division chief or chair. Before the supplement be taken away or reduced, the faculty member should be told and given time to rectify the deficiency. For example, if the reduction in supplement is for lack of funding, they should have been told on annual reviews or some other way that obtaining funding is an expectation. The expectation should be assigned on annual work plan and then reviewed on the annual performance review, if deficient.
