Dr. Redinger is an attending psychiatrist at the Rex Robley VA Medical Center.  In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Redinger supervises and teaches residents and fellows on the Substance Abuse Residential Treatment Program and the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.

Dr. Redinger received his medical degree from the University of Louisville in 2010 and completed his residency at the University of Florida in 2014.  He came back to the University of Louisville and completed his fellowship in Addictions Psychiatry in 2015.  As a resident, Dr. Redinger received the Resident of the Month Award, the S. Spafford Ackerly Award, and was first runner-up for Research Louisville.  In addition, he was elected the GEC representative for the PGY-4's.  While in medical school, residency, and during his fellowship, Dr. Redinger had several presentations and posters at both local and national conferences.  He was also a course developer, helping Addiction Fellows prepare for the Addiction Psychiatry Boards.

Dr. Redinger is Board Certified and is an active member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
