University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics and Norton Children’s Research Institute Announce New Leadership
Effective January 1, 2025. Dr. Kyle Brothers assumed the role of Executive Vice Chair for the Department of Pediatrics. He replaces Dr. In Kim who was named Vice Dean of Innovation and Strategy at the School of Medicine and Associate Vice President of Health Affairs.
“We are excited about the leadership and experience Dr. Brothers brings, particularly in research programs and advancing our academic mission,” said Department Chair Dr. Kim Boland. “Dr. Brothers is highly regarded within our Department, Norton Children’s, and the School of Medicine for his collaborative approach to leadership, which will greatly benefit our faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and patients.”
Dr. Brothers will also continue his leadership at the Norton Children’s Research Institute (NCRI), which operates as a joint program of the UofL Department of Pediatrics and Norton Children’s.
Dr. Brothers is supported by Dr. Lori Devlin, who is now Director of Research Development and the new NCRI Medical Director Dr. Jamie Furlong-Dillard. In addition, Dr. Hannah Fischer transitioned into the role of Director of Quality Improvement and Research for NCRI as well as the new Vice Chair for Quality Improvement and Innovation within the Department.
