Peds Healthy at Home and Work

During this COVID-19 pandemic, our professional and personal lives have been turned upside down. Some are worried about getting sick. Some are worried about taking infection home to their families.  Many have missed vacations, holidays with family, and are facing the cancellation or postponement of graduations and weddings. This is a stressful time for all of us.  To help us connect, have a little fun, or maybe just mental health encouragement, below is a list of entertaining and helpful resources available.  If you have a resource not listed, please email PedsNews@louisville.edu and we will add it to the list.

  • UofL Employee Assistance Program offers counseling, assessment and referrals at no cost.
  • Great Place to Work: online technology courses and badges available - UofL’s Center for Digital Transformation consortium has partnered with multiple technology organizations to provide several free industry courses for those interested in developing their digital skills. By completing one of the listed courses, you may also have the opportunity to achieve that vendor's industry "badge" or certificate/certification. Several are free, such as the IBM Design Thinking Practitioner Badge. These badges are digital credentials that you are awarded after passing certain levels of assessment. Some assessments are free and some are not depending on the level you choose. Carefully read course descriptions and look for the "no cost" identification.

Once you reach the level of assessment determined by the technology organization, then the badges/credentials can be displayed and listed on your resume, LinkedIn account or other professional document. Visit the webpage to find which technology course looks interesting to you!
