How long have you worked in Pediatrics? I have been a dietitian for almost 20 years and have spent 11 years in the pediatric and adult Cystic Fibrosis Care Centers.
What is your favorite thing about your job? We see our patients several times per year, so I love getting know them and their families. It’s very rewarding to watch them grow and achieve their goals.
What is your hometown? Oostburg, Wisconsin
What is your favorite movie? I never miss a chance to watch The Abyss.
Tell us about your family: I have been married for 15 years to my husband, Rob. We have a six year-old son, Samuel.
Do you have pets? I have a cat named Linus Anne.
What are you doing, where are you going, for your next vacation? We have a family reunion in Leland, Michigan and then we’re breaking away to spend time on Mackinac Island.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be either a German teacher or Doctor.
What is one of your proudest accomplishments? I was chosen as one of 35 students to participate in the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages in Germany. I spent seven weeks fully immersed in the language, culture, and history. This experience continues to shape my desire to learn, travel, and try new experiences outside of my comfort zone.
What is your favorite quote? As a kid when I was feeling down, my dad would say, “That’s life in the B1G Ten”, and this helped put things into perspective.
