Pediatric Resident Grand Rounds | By:Erin Owen, MD
We are excited to announce a new offering for the Department of Pediatrics Thursday Noon Conference Series. With the exception of the 4th Thursday of the Month (reserved for Pediatric M&M Conference), Resident Grand Rounds will be delivered every Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00PM. This new educational conference will showcase high caliber, resident-led presentations aimed at sparking friendly academic debate. Teams comprised of an intern, third year resident, faculty sponsor and chief resident will lead one-hour long case-based presentations with specific learning objectives and discussion questions in mind. Similar to Departmental Grand Rounds, Outlook calendar invites will be sent approximately one month prior to the presentation. The inaugural Resident Grand Rounds, “Kawasaki Disease: Treatment Considerations”, will be held August 1st in Baxter Auditorium with residents Seth Harris, DO and Joshua Kim, DO and faculty sponsors Ashley Neal, MD and Ken Schickler, MD. For further information, please contact Dr. Erin Owen: erin.owen@louisville.edu.
