How long have you worked in Pediatrics? I've worked in Pediatrics since 1968. I have been with UofL since 1975.
What is your favorite thing about your job? Clinical work with patients and their families dealing with mental health issues.
What is your hometown? I was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts and moved to Louisville from Montreal, Quebec in 1975.
What is your favorite movie? Casablanca
Tell us about your family: My husband Dave is a civil engineer whom I met on a Sierra Club hike in Bernheim Forest. We have 2 children. Our daughter Kate works at Vanderbilt U. in Nashville. Our son Bradford is civil engineer who is married with 3 sons. I love being a grandma!
Do you have pets? Not anymore. We had our dear cairn terrier Maxine for 15 years.
What are you doing, where are you going, for your next vacation? I will be visiting Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Quebec to visit family and friends and do some genealogy.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Always a nurse
What is one of your proudest accomplishments? Raising 2 children who are happy, productive adults and really nice people.
What is your favorite quote? Make no assumptions.
What was your first job? Babysitting as a teenager. My first nursing job was staff nurse on the adult psych unit at Mass. General Hospital in Boston.
What is your favorite ice cream? I look forward to peach ice cream every summer.
