Jack Clark
Administrative Assistant for Fracture ServiceJack Clark is the Administrative Assistant for Fracture Service who joined the team in February 2023 and assists with scheduling, file keeping, and other administrative duties. In their spare time they enjoy playing video games, napping with their cats, and playing board games with friends.
Bobby Deignan, MA
Residency & Fellowship Program Coordinator—PodiatryBobby Deignan joined the team in August 2022 as Coordinator for the Podiatry Residency and Fellowship Programs. He supports daily operations, education coordination, and all things related to maintaining program accreditation. In his free time, he enjoys reading and visiting with his parents and their dogs.
Rebecca Dixon, MA
Administrative Services ManagerRebecca Dixon is an Administrative Services Manager who started in the department in January 2023. She is the faculty affairs liaison, assisting with items like tenure and promotion, reappointments, and hiring and onboarding. When she’s not at work, you will find Rebecca reading a book, hiking, or doing Tae Kwon Do.
Casey Fanz
Administrative Associate to the ChairCasey Fanz has been the Administrative Associate to the Chair since July 2022. She attended the University of Louisville for her undergraduate degree, where she competed on the women’s swim team. Casey then swam professionally for several years, eventually retiring to start a full-time career. She is now pursuing her Masters degree and enjoys working out and reading in her free time.
Ross Schultz, MHA, FACHE
Executive DirectorRoss Schultz is the executive director for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and has held that role since January 2018 ensuring strong operational and financial performance. In his spare time he loves to travel, participate in adventure sports, and watch movies with his wife, child, and dog.
Tammy Thompson, MBA, MS
Fellowship Program CoordinatorTammy Thompson is responsible for the compliance of the Trauma, Adult Reconstruction, and Spine fellowships along with supporting the Program Directors. She has been in this position since November 2015 and in higher education for many years in different capacities. She has a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Human Resource Management, and her background in business, HR, and academics supports her in her work. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and waiting on her lottery number to kick in.
Monica Welsh, BA, C-TAGME
Residency Program CoordinatorMonica Welsh is the Residency Program Coordinator and has been in this position since October 2009. She has her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from McKendree University and is certified in Graduate Medical Education Training Administration. In her spare time, Monica enjoys cooking and gardening.
