During the PGY3 year, there are 13 blocks, the first 9 being adult neurology.  The last 4 will be in child neurology, including inpatient, outpatient, EEG, and elective.  The goal of this integrated curriculum is to have earlier exposure to child neurology specialities to help overall with career plan.  The final 4 rotations of adult neurology will be completed during the PGY4 year, and will consist of only outpatient and elective with adult neurology call during the PGY4 year.

Notes:

  1.       Residents are allotted 28 vacation days per year that must be taken during outpatient elective months
  2.       Residents have one-half day of continuity clinic per week
  3.       Residents during adult year do 6 weeks of night float that is spread out among rotations.  4 weeks will be at ULH and 2 weeks at Jewish.
