The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and Jewish Hospital have a long history of  serving the people of our region. The transplant center, a program of Jewish Hospital and the University of Louisville School of Medicine, is in the elite percentage of organ transplant centers in the nation and one of a handful of hospitals performing all five sold organ transplants.
