17th Annual Child Neurology Symposium: Neurology for the General Practitioner - August 2, 2019

This year’s focus will be topics in Child Neurology that every general practitioner should know. Topics will include approach to developmental delay, management of cerebral palsy, pediatric movement disorders, managing seizure emergencies, emergency exam techniques, seizure mimickers, and evaluation of the weak child.

1) Outline an evidence-based approach to developmental delay.
2) Properly administer the management and treatment of cerebral palsy.
3) Identify and treat common pediatric movement disorders.
4) Evaluate and manage seizure emergencies.
5) Use aspects of the pediatric neurologic exam in emergent situations.
6) Identify common seizure mimickers.
7) Implement a systematic approach to the evaluation of a patient with weakness.
