Louisville PrEP Summit – Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV Summit - November 12, 2016

This workshop will review the need for PrEP services, including highlights from the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (2/20/2016 (CROI)); identify the components of PrEP; investigate the issue of PrEP for Kentucky adolescents, as well as, the role of the pharmacist in PrEP care. PrEP education will be delivered to primary care providers. The summit’s mission will be to increase the number of primary care providers in the community offering PrEP services and to increase the public’s awareness of this HIV prevention strategy.
