I always wanted to serve since I was young, and I wanted to give back to my community and country through that service.
What are you most proud of?
All the times I performed Taps at military funerals.
Why do you want to be a lawyer?
I want to do my part to make the world a better place. The law is a great area to do good on an individual and community level.

The faculty are supportive, and I have learned so much from them. Professor Ochs, Giesel, and Abrams have made the challenging content of the courses attainable.
In five years, I want to be...
Completing the Part-Time program and taking the Bar!
How have you changed since you started law school?
I have learned how to read and process information faster. I feel like I’m starting to “think like a lawyer.”
What would you tell a 1L about law school and/or life?
Since I am in my first semester, I would go back in time and tell myself to have a better plan for time management very early in the term to balance work and school. Part-Time law school with a full-time job is a LOT!
How do you cope when times are challenging?
It depends on the challenge, but I typically face the challenge head on and take periodic breaks if needed. It is helpful to set a timer to work intensely for a set time, give yourself a set time to take a break, and then back at it!
