FIREWALL

We protect the university’s network by using firewalls to block unauthorized access. If you have a need for new firewall rules or changes to existing firewall rules, please submit a ticket . For systems needing additional protection, units can submit a custom firewall request at an additional cost. Learn more about pricing and how rule requests are carefully reviewed before any approval in order to maintain university-wide security.

Please consult the UofL Policy and Procedure Library about the use of university technology, information security responsibilities, encryption of data, protection of computing devices, and the responsible (ethical and lawful) use of all university computing resources. While ITS maintains the highest level of security protection possible for our computational resources, each individual is responsible for the security of their technology and the UofL systems accessed by them.
