It's Back! Closed in 1985, the West Louisville's Parkland Library Re-Opens March 2025 : A Community and University Partnership

Primarily, the purpose of this partnership was to gain support and engage residents of Parkland, Chickasaw, California, and Park Hill to help get Parkland Library reopened as a full-service library and understand that the library belongs to its residents; and it is important that residents take ownership of their Library. Closed since 1985, Friends of Parkland Library (FOPL) and a University of Louisville (UofL) Librarian Fannie M. Cox have worked together since 2016-2017, sharing a common goal of meeting residents and spreading the word about making this goal a reality. March 2025, Parkland Library reopens.
